Description
This is a Dead Pawn Ring size 9 1/2. This ring is created in traditional Navajo artistry featuring Turquoise crafted in Sterling Silver. The Turquoises stones appear to be from the Royston Turquoise Mine. This piece measures approximately 2 inches tall at the tallest point and is 1 3/8 inch at the widest point. The ring has a total weight of 27.4 grams.
The reverse of this piece is signed by the artist noted as HS and is stamped Sterling. The Pawn Tag on this piece indicated the ring was moved to Dead Pawn status on May 2010.
This item has a natural patina as shown in the pictures. Most people prefer the aged look of Dead Pawn pieces. Because of this we will leave the natural patina as shown in the pictures.
The term Pawn refers to selling jewelry or other personal items for cash. It can also mean exchanging jewelry or other personal items for cash by using the item as collateral for a loan. If the piece used for collateral is not claimed by an agreed upon date, then the item becomes Dead Pawn and the pawn shop becomes the owner of the item and can choose to sell the item to reclaim the cost of the money lent. The term Dead Pawn does not indicate the age of the jewelry. Dead Pawn jewelry can be very old, newly made or anywhere in between.
You will receive the exact item pictured. We have taken pictures of this specific, individual item which is the exact item you will recieve.
