Description

This is a spectacular natural Mica Clay Pot by Taos Pueblo Artist Avaros. This work of art is comprised of Taos micaceous clay, all hand gathered on the Pueblo. Taos Mica Clay contains tiny flakes of Mica which give the pottery a sparkling surface. This pot has been hand coiled and Kiln fired and has painted representations of the Gecko, Quail, Kiva Steps and abstract designs. This piece is signed by the Taos Pueblo Artist Avaros and is singed Taos Pueblo 2008.

This large work of art measures 10 1/2 inches tall and is 40 inches in circumference at the widest point. The opening at the top is approximately 10 inches in diameter. This heavy Mica Pot weighs 10 pounds.
